A little over 10 years ago, Lars Wild was a theatre actor in Berlin. He was playing The Misanthrope - a play which explores the conflict between truth and societal norms through the character of Alceste, a man who openly despises the hypocrisy of his peers. Through this role, Lars came to a realisation that something needed to change.
Lars went into solitude in the countryside, fasting for 21 days with no distractions, and made a radical decision to move to southwest Alentejo, Portugal - one of Europe's least populated areas. He was on a journey, looking for a way to collaborate with nature in ways that weren't possible in the city - to learn to work with it, as it.
His current mission is focused on transforming an old quinta on the Rio Mira into a thriving food forest. This short film provides an introduction into Lars' philosophy on humanity, nature, agriculture and the potential for a future based on ecological paradise.

This is an insight into her life and symbiotic perspective as she continues to find her sense of belonging after many years of searching.
Growing up in Apartheid era in South Africa shaped the course of Deborah Osberg's life.
From researching in the vast landscapes of the Namib desert, to lecturing on educational philosophy in south-west England - this film follows her journey back to the wilderness, exploring a new creative expression - one which brings together both beginnings and endings in the mountains of Serra da Estrela, Central Portugal.
